The Araw ng Dabaw celebration is one of the most highly anticipated events in Davao City, Philippines. It is a celebration of the city’s founding and showcases the rich culture and heritage of the Davaoeños. As part of the 86^th Araw ng Dabaw celebration, the Pasidungog 2023: Garbo sa Dabaw is held to recognize the outstanding individuals, civic groups, and companies that have contributed to the city’s growth and development. One aspect of this recognition is the giving of certificates and plaques to companies that have demonstrated an exceptional level of participation and engagement in the Public Employment Service Office’s (PESO) activities, these companies invest time, resources, and effort to ensure that the job fairs are successful. By giving them a plaque of recognition, they are acknowledged for their hard work and contribution to the success of various activities.

On March 8, 2023, Pasidungog 2023: Garbo sa Dabaw was held in Acacia Hotel, Davao City. This recognition ceremony is a tribute to each recipient’s commitment to corporate social responsibility. Among all the outstanding recipients of the said recognition, seven (7) of which are the Public Employment Service Office’s (PESO) partner companies; the VXI Global Holdings, Alorica Teleservices Inc., NCCC Mall Buhangin Elysia Wellness Spa, Gaisano Mall of Davao, Magsaysay Maritime Corporation, and Placewell International Services whose presence and support in different job fair activities have made significant contributions to the success of the job fairs. At the awarding ceremony, the plaques were presented to the representatives of the companies, and a brief ceremony was held to celebrate the occasion. The event was attended by local officials, representatives of participating companies, and other stakeholders who witnessed the recognition. Representatives from these companies received the award given by the City Government of Davao Department Heads and Chiefs led by the City Administrator, Atty. Mark H. Layog, Vice Mayor Jay Melchor B. Quitain Jr. with PESO’s Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Maam Lilibeth D. Pantinople.
